Anthony David Gonzalez played American football for 17 seasons as an offensive tight end within the National Football League. He is considered one of the best tight ends in history. Alongside being the NFL's leader for receiving yards, as well as the third-highest total of receptions, Gonzalez also was among the NFL tight end who had the highest number of receptions.
Tony Gonzalez serves as a FOX sports studio analyst on FOX Sports Studio. Gonzalez is an anchor on FOX NFL KICKOFF for the past few years. FOX NFL KICKOFF is FOX NFL's pregame program which airs before FOX NFLSUNDAY. This airs at 11:00 AM ET every Sunday during NFL season.
Gonzalez was signed to a contract with the Falcons to run for two seasons and $14 million on the 15th of March 2013. This was despite the fact that Gonzalez had claimed he planned to retire at the end of football season of 2013. Randy Moss' retirement meant that Gonzalez was the league's top player in active yards recieving the final time in his career.
